| The Bible is God's Word, that it is written
by men divinely inspired, that it is absolutely trustworthy and has supreme
authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness,
infinite in wisdom, measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself
mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and
that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Christ Jesus.
Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy
Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, making atonement for the sin of the world
by His death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection; His ascension
into heaven; His high priestly intercession for His people; and His personal,
pre-millenial, visible return to the world according to His promise.
The Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, who is revealed
as a Divine Person. He is come forth from God to convince the world of
sin, of righteousness and of judgment; to regenerate, sanctify and comfort
those who believe in Jesus Christ.
All men are sinners by nature and by choice, and that "God so
loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in Him should not perish but have everlasting life". We believe, therefore,
that those who accept Christ as their Lord and Savior have everlasting
life and: "shall not come into condemnation; but are passed from death
to life", and will rejoice forever to God's presence. Those who refuse
to accept Christ as Lord and Savior shall be forever separated from God.
Eternal punishment for those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ
and have not taken Him as their personal Savior and Lord.
A literal Hell of eternal conscious torment, for those who die
unsaved.
Heaven is a prepared place of blessing for a prepared people,
those believers who are washed in the blood of the Lamb.
The Church: (1) the living, spiritual body of which Christ is
the head, and of which all regenerated people are members, and (2) a local,
visible church which is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried
with Him in baptism and associated together for worship, work and fellowship.
We believe that God has laid upon these churches the task of persuading
a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord
and Master.
The sacred ordinances as laid down in the Scriptures: (1) Water
baptism by immersion, the symbol of burial with Christ and risen again
through the faith of the operation of God; and (2) The Lord's Supper
, the symbol of our sharing the divine nature, a memorial of His suffering
and death, and a prophesy of His second coming and enjoined upon all believers
until He comes.
The principle of heart separation from sin unto God, producing
in the believer a life free from worldly habits and consecrated to the
will of God as the scriptural pattern for greatest joy, blessing and usefulness. |
